About the Upland chorus frog

The Upland chorus frog is a amphibian in the family Hylidae (order Anura). Its conservation status on the IUCN Red List is “least concern”.

What does the Upland chorus frog sound like?

Frog and toad calls are produced by males, who inflate a vocal sac to amplify the sound. Choruses are loudest on warm, humid nights in the breeding season, and each species' call has its own pitch, rhythm and pulse rate.

The recordings here are labelled as song. Listen for differences in rhythm, pitch and repetition – the spectrum display makes it easy to see whether a sound is a pure whistle (a thin line), a harsh call (a broad band) or a trill (rapid repeated marks).

From Wikipedia

The upland chorus frog (Pseudacris feriarum) is a species of chorus frog found in the United States. It was recently separated from the Western chorus frog (Pseudacris triseriata), being identified as an individual species rather than a subspecies.
