We keep things simple: OttoAnna has no user accounts, no advertising trackers and sets no cookies of its own.
- Preferences. Your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
- Microphone tools. The decibel meter and spectrogram analyse audio locally in your browser. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.
- Embedded media. Recordings and images are loaded from their original hosts (Wikimedia, the Internet Archive, NASA, the US National Park Service and others). When you play or view them, those services receive your IP address under their own privacy policies.
- Statistics. If enabled, we use privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics that count page views without identifying you.
