Recordist's notes
The Academy of Design is a private tertiary institution offering bachelor degree awards in graphic design, fashion, advertising, photo-media, and visual arts. Consequently, it's an institution in which the 'visual' is most definitely privileged. The Academy is where I lecture in visual culture studies and art history, but I am also passionate about phonography. This year, World Listening Day was an opportunity for me to pay respects to the Academy's soundscape.
