Recordist's notes
I was stuck to get to a boat to go to the center of Sibenik because a wildfire began 5 canadairs were crossing the sea to take water to stop the fire in the mountain above the city On this concrete platform were I was, there is a tiny café in a wooden house that a croatian guy keeps running from some years. I sat a bit with him and his friend, his dog and his stick insect, watching the planes that were super close to us, and I recorded them. You can also hear a bit the radio that was playing in the small house. It's a bit dramatic, and there are big bass. But I guess this is a sound we will get more and more used to in the upcoming years. Hopefully, they could stop the fire at some point. It looked a bit like a distopyan movie from Miyazaki, with the yellow and red planes dancing in the blue sky, mountains and trees, and a lot of smoke
