Recordist's notes

Chuncheon Lake Ice Formation. When the temperature suddenly fell in late January the Chuncheon Lake froze over entirely. The ice rapidly became thick enough for people to walk onto and start skating or ice fishing. Over the first few days the ice was forming rapidly and some incredible acoustic phenomena from the heaving and splitting of ice sheets could be heard echoing around the lake basin area.
