Recordist's notes

This is the throbbing shout of the chaffinch. Normally this bird doesn't shout like that. This shout is called contact call, the bird makes a contact with another one. Especially, it means there's a territorial conflict with another bird. The only problem is that, here, the chaffinch is completely alone in the lime-tree. It shouts everyday, without interruption. Sadly, it means that this bird is sick, is mad, and will die because it doesn't eat and drink.
