Recordist's notes

Under the play field shelter, children shut their eyes and listen to the sounds around them, then interpret the sounds they can hear into sound maps, drawing with pencils on paper. Listen out for the gecko and other sounds too! Part of a September holiday 'Sounds in Nature' workshop run by Gabrielle Fry, teaching children how to use recording equipment to appreciate and record sounds in familiar surroundings. Recorded using a Rode NTG-2 and Zoom H4N. Check out the kids' sound maps here - http://www.facebook.com/soundworkshops/
