Recordist's notes
Going up the escalator in the Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain in Strasbourg on a sunday at noon. The escalator appeared as the heart of the museum as its characteristic rythmical sound was audible almost everywhere in the building. From the escalator you turn right and cross a transition profile connecting two types of flooring. When you step on the profile the plastic material emits various kinds of squeaky sounds. Recorded with an Olympus LS 12 Recorder using the built-in microphones. Recorder hand held, facing slightly downwards.
