Recordist's notes
Two days before their big concert at the national museum and house of culture in Dar es Salaam, the Lumumba Dance and Theater group was practicing in the main auditorium. This recording was taken from outside, in the garden, hanging out near the massive Ficus tree that stands there. Because of the tropical climate, the walls to the auditorium are not air-tight and are made of a lacing of bricks which let out the nice sounds of this Kalimba player practicing his piece.
