Recordist's notes

During my brother's wedding, we stayed with our family and friends in Nest Hotel. Every morning around 05h the city was silent but the prayer of the imam of the Sarayaltı Sümbüllü Cami penetrated through the walls, talking to us in our dreams. One morning I decided to step on the balcony and record. Listening back to it almost one year afterwards, this handmade amplification of his voice, the sounds of the air conditioning and silence of the city bring back a tissue of memories and joy.
