Recordist's notes

A mother goose with three goslings is trapped in a rectangular lock chamber with a low water level and cannot find the way out. Her desperate calls echo strongly off the hard concrete walls, creating a dense, reverberant soundscape. From a distance, the gander occasionally responds, making the spatial separation and disorientation acoustically perceptible.
