Recordist's notes

Robert Cheverier was a fighter in the Saint-Heribert bunker. In may 1940, german fighters won the battle, the belgian fighters were deported in Dresden. Robert Cheverier talks about his life inside the bunker and the deportation. He's 95 years old and deaf, so we have to speak very loudly as to be understood. Recorded by Françoise Legros and Bernard Sebille, in the "Résidence Saint-Jean in Mettet", an home for old persons. Françoise Legros is the owner of the Saint-Héribert bunker in Wepion village. Robert Cheverier is the last alive fighter of the Saint-Héribert underground bunker.
