Recordist's notes

a lone javan rusa (rusa timorensis) trumpets in the dead of night. though introduced and quite bad for these forests i still love the sounds that these deer make (which can be very startling when you are walking through these usually quiet forests) and it is always exciting to see them. a plane (cargo/sea?), although not during normal flight times, was flying over this area of the national park around the time the deer was calling. microphone deployed around dusk and retrieved the following morning. recorded with an AT BP4025 into an Olympus LS-100. jeremyh.bandcamp.com/ soundcloud.com/jeremyhegge
