Recordist's notes
Recorded at an English Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Man City. with 26,000 fans at Selhurst Park, the recording starts with a minutes silence in remembrance of local community members killed in a tram crash the week before. The recording then captures the atmosphere within Selhurst Park at various stages of the game. The ground is known in the EPL as being one of the most atmospheric, despite the limited capacity of only around 26,000. For the record Palace lost 2-1 with both Man City goals scored by Yaya Toure, in his first game back after being dropped by Pep Guardiola for comments from his agent several months beforehand.
