Die Rangierlok eines schweren Güterzuges, bizarr in dieser Umgebung eines der verkehrsreichten Plätze in Zürich, überdeckt kurzzeitig den Automobilverkehr, potenziert noch durch die Fahrbahngeräusche, die sich von der darüberliegenden Hochstrasse vielfach an den Fassaden der umliegenden Gebäude brechen. Ein paar Schritte entfernt ein Trinkwasserbrunnen: nichts ist davon zu hören. Auch die Menschen, die sprechend vorbeigehen oder in den umliegenden Gartenrestaurants sitzen: sie bleiben stumm.
