Recordist's notes
In the present soudscape that belongs to the balcony of a building, we found -Tonic or Fundamental Sounds-: trafic in morning hours (10:00 a.m.) formed by cars, motorcycles and buses that cross the puddles of the streets; we heard this atmosphere so dark and melancholic that happens when it stops raining it mixes with the repetitive construction sound, and this urban sounds set and the cold wind contrast with the sound signals: the vigorous energy of birdsong and the hits against the ground of metal tools. Because we are from a perspective a little away of the street, we can find certain sound marks: we perceive voices almost whispered and people behind the balcony, also it's possible to filter someone sweeping. All this indentifies that we are recording a city soundscape, but from a residential. I consider that in itself, all of the city scape with the construction and the whistles of birds are too a sound mark of the place. This was recorded with a cellphone.
