Recordist's notes

… we are at the community hall of a Lutheran church, the “Christuskirche”, in Hamm West… a large very colourful audience is gathered here… many in African attire… people are streaming in and out of the hall, children running around… it’s Saturday, church bells are ringing, often… mixing in with the Festival’s multilingual voices… and the constant beat from the hall… it’s the Yes Afrika Festival 2014…
