Recordist's notes
With nineteen, Nonhlanhla won an award in the Anglo-American Arts Exhibition. Respect and recognition brought customers to her studio; she was one of the few women being fortunate making a living of her work. And even through difficult times, she always managed to support herself and her family through her artwork. From: http://both-sides-of-the-zambezi.tumblr.com/
