Mando (Goan Konkani: Mannddô) is a musical form that evolved during the 19th and 20th centuries among the Goan Catholics. It represents a meeting point of local Goan (Goa was a part of Portugal at that point of time) and western musical traditions.
The music has elements of both traditional Goan and western culture. The men wear formal coats while women wear Western dress.
