Recordist's notes
I walked down the steps on my lunch break, and was greeted with five swans, 2 adult, 3 juvenile. One of the adult swans left the water immediately and walked up to me and stood there, watching me, under 2 feet away. I assume it was looking to see if I was going to feed it as people feed Swans, even though its terrible for their diet. The three cygnets came right in close to the waters edge, and I was able to get my Zoom h2n out and record this. I didnt have time to get my Zoom windscreen out, and I was blessed with an incredibly still air, which is almost unheard of on the Swan river near Fremantle. A special moment, for sure. Recorded on a Zoom h2n, no windscreen, M/S mode (I think it was +6 150 degrees). Edited in Audacity for slight amplification and top and tailing the noise at the start and end of the recording.
