Recordist's notes
24 heures vélos means, in french, 24 hours bicycles. Students are doing a big race, with traditional VTT running fast, folk and completely crazy bikes, running slow and bad and drunk, all running during 24 hours. Every whistle notice a bike incoming. Also, its a gigantic carousal. Every student is drunk. On evening it's happy people, shouting, pissing everywhere and vomiting also everywhere. Later on the night, more and more alcohol, it will be another story... But also this feast, it's bleusailles. It's a patois word meaning ... perhaps trial by fire, its hard to translate as it's a quite special belgian folk, with clothes and rules. 9:30 mn, it's baptized students walking, coming from Hermes school, shouting and ... singing ? I think they are completely drunk ! Recording while walking in the center of the city. It's all night shouting like this !
