Recordist's notes
I could see the deer standing at the edge of the trees on the opposite side of the valley. He was there for quite some time. The landscape here is very pretty, with steeply wooded hills, not high but enough to create some lovely reverberant soundscapes. The bird chorus sounds fluent and full. Blackbirds, wrens, wood pigeons and chaffinches are all singing and a distant rooster crows.
