Recordist's notes

A solitary bat recorded during a field recording mentoring session in Ghana. Gear: Soundman Binaural OKM II XLR, ZOOM F3, personal head and torso. This individual mentoring session was given to Emmanuel @emmanuel_csemghana @emma_csemghana during my 11-Day stay in Ghana. We pushed through the training eventhough I wasn't in the best state of health before and during the stay. Topics discussed on this previously observed site included: ☑️ Stereofield monitoring (movement of objects in space). ☑️ Focused and peripheral listening. ☑️ How omni-directional microphones work. ☑️ Balanced placement of microphones. ☑️ Handling of field recorders and batteries. ☑️ Listening with amplification. ☑️ Closed-back and open-back reference headphones and how they work. This program is supported by Earth fm with equipment set.
