Recordist's notes

Recording format: Binaural. Headphones recommended for spatial immersion. Variations of amphibian acoustic phenomena documented in a suburban settlement in Ghana. Frog species identified: i. Phrynobatrachus latifrons ii. Sclerophus maculata (Flat-backed Toad) iii. Ptychadena trinodis Prominent vocalisation and 1 other yet to be assigned to specific species. Herpetologists are kindly invited to join in this research. *This soundscape will keep memory of the place since biodiversity is rapidly diminishing due to human settlements. Date: 22.08.2021. Time: Between 8 and 9pm. Recording gear: Soundman OKM II with XLR Adapter into ZOOM F4.
