Recordist's notes
This recording was made at Arcosanti, a project by Italian architect Paolo Soleri. The frogs were inside a cement structure that I initially mistook for a trash can. Later I came to realize that the structure was housing the frogs and was itself an angular futurist rendition of a frog. From Wikipedia: Arcosanti is an experimental town and molten bronze bell casting community in Yavapai County, central Arizona, 70 mi north of Phoenix, at an elevation of 3,732 feet. https://arcosanti.org/
Context
This recording was made away from larger towns, about 36 km from the nearest city in our gazetteer.
