Beside the playground and the parked cars

Residential apartment blocks start very close to the concrete expanse of Alexanderplatz and the huge roads of the area. Once inside surrounded by the multi-storey buildings it is a different, much quieter, world, of car parks, green areas, trees and playgrounds. The city is very present at a distance. Sirens frequently pass, shifting their pitch at speed. But there is time for the children, rustling leaves and footsteps, even an occasional crow or sparrow.
