Recordist's notes

This recording I still traced sleeping in my archive shall sound-out a memorial for Gertrude and her husband, the artists with their “feet-in-city”. I had earlier found this notice on Mthabisi Phili’s “Voices in Colour” page on FB. “Just heard, she passed away in May. Her name was Gertrude, used to play with her blind husband outside Pioneer House in Bulawayo. I did the Feet-in-the-City series for Voices in Colour: connecting contemporary cultures when I spotted the Duo. You had your feet in that city 24/7, Gertrude. RIP” http://voicesincolour.wordpress.com archived at: https://archive.org/details/Voices_from_Bulawayo_818
