Boiler vans appeared with the arrival of electric and diesel locomotives, at the time unable to heat cars that had radiators powered by steam produced by steam locomotives. These vans will disappear with the arrival of electric radiators and diesel machines powerful enough to provide part of the energy produced for heating trains. Captation : ZOOM H3-VR
