Recordist's notes

The former city hall of Oderberg is being used for cultural events every now and then. During the "Rathausspiele" 2025, Orth (double bass) / Raacke (harp) / Sasperella (percussion, voice) gave an improvised concert in in the very special "well room". This room's floor is open and comprises a whole landscape/micro climate. Many wells/water streams flow through the city of Oderberg. They run through gardens and buildings, like here. The room's open ground always has water, real ponds, and a narrow wooden passway leads across the water. On the muddy shores, plants grow (fern mostly) inside the room. It's magic! The musicians were playing in the upper, dry and solid part of the room, which seemed like a stage. Between them and the audience: the water/plants room from which a door leads to the market square in front of the building. The audience stayed outside, looking and listening through the open door. Recorded on a Sony PCM 100, held into the room, through the open door, and still recording the outside (mainly traffic noise).
