Recordist's notes
desperate calls of three Eurasian coot chicks. The parents took off towards towards the middle of the lake, leaving the chicks in the rushes. They were undecided whether they should follow the parents which were already about 250m away. I captured the exact moment when the chicks decided to leave the safety of the rushes and swim alone in the open lake after the parents. Also shouts of teenagers of the roof, boys throwing girls into the lake and competing in swimming. (sony d50)
