Recordist's notes
Every now and again police squads about 10 strong move in to make arrests of those sitting down blocking the bridge. Individual demonstrators are read their rights and if they refuse to move carried off by their arms and legs. There is no big confrontation. It is as non-violent as can be given the circumstances. The crowd chants throughout the process. Each person is cheered and clapped as they are arrested and taken to the nearby police vans. I can only watch in admiration at their commitment and determination.
