Recordist's notes
Fossato is a village perched on the slope of a mountain on the Tuscan side of the Limentra Valley. At night, the singing of insects from the woods characterizes the summer soundscape, rich in high frequencies. The distant passage of an airliner, which fills the lowest part of the sound spectrum, outlines the continuous sonic incursion of the urban world into rural spaces. Recorded with Zoom H4n Pro
