Recordist's notes
The sounds of bird life, neighbours household life, and industrial traffic passing by an urban New Zealand garden that is close to a major industrial site access road. Sunny mild temperature day in late autumn that was 5 days before COVID-19 National alert level 4 drops to level 3. Under level 4 only essential businesses and essential travel outside your house were permitted. Whilst there has been a drop off in the number of vehicles using this particular road, it was slowly increasing as people return to workplaces or travelled during lunch breaks. Identifiable birds include Tui and Piwakawaka (NZ fantail). Traffic includes large stock trucks. Recorded in 24bit 48khz on an Edirol R-09HR mounted on a window shelf with dead cat covering microphones.
