Recordist's notes
Recorded around noon, warm mid October day. First I was tense because of the dog herding the flock and I told my co-hiker not to look into the dog's eyes. The goats where not really interested in us and walked closely around us so sometimes you can listen to them breathing. I really like the part of the recording when the two goats left behind try to catch up with their flock. And I enjoy the part when the insects and few birds become present between the very distant bell sounds. During the trip I was reading this very interesting article on bells of goats and sheep in Greece by anthroplogist of sound Panayotis Panopoulos: https://www.jstor.org/stable/3134704 Recorded with Zoom H5 recorder and OKM II profesional plus soundman windshield
