Recordist's notes
While setting up in order to record the water lapping the shore, a RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) arrived and a number of people climbed out, walked down the small wooden jetty towards the shore, carrying bags which they unpacked in a small makeshift-looking structure, moving closer to me then further away as the conversation ebbed and flowed. The trees between the houses gave perches for woodland birds to sing the part of the shore that the seabirds had forgotten, occasionally joined by the barks of a small dog and the sniffs my cold added to the atmosphere.
