Houghton Regis Chalk Pit soundscape ... west reedbed ... parabolic on tripod to minidisk ... bird calls from carrion crow ... jackdaw ... robin ... corn bunting ... water rail ... reed bunting ... moorhen ...snipe ... lots of traffic noise ... just a note ... although man made ... this was once the only site in southern England where water stood on chalk ... it was an SSI ... sadly no more ...
