Recordist's notes
A flock of about 30 Iago Sparrows (Passer iagoensis), a sparrow species endemic to the Cape Verde Islands, feeding on the ground under a tree. A Car is passing, towards the end of the recording a dog starts yapping. Otherwise Insects an the rush of some gusts of the ever present wind. Binaural recording, recorded with a modified Crown SASS housing incorporating two sennheiser mkh20 mics. The dummy head microphone facing north. Placed low on ground behind a small water tank for wind protection.
