Margaret Munkuli interviews Maria Munkuli, the Chair Lady of Zubo’s Manjolo Women’s Forum. Maria tells the story and history of the Forum since its inception. She emphasizes the collective project of Manjolo Women’s Forum which is to collect Baobab fruits (Mabuyo) and produce Baobab Maheo (Muyaya). Maria describes how the local community benefitted from the success of the project. The women used to share and distribute Maheo to vulnerable members of the community, to old people and school children. With the profits of selling Maheo through local shops in Binga and Manjolo, they supported three orphans in the community, enabling them to go to school. The project is currently on hold due to requirements of the Ministry of Health that the project ought to have its own production shed. a recording from the radio project "Women documenting women stories" with Zubo Trust, a women’s organization in Binga Zimbabwe bringing women together for self-empowerment. http://www.zubo.org
