Recordist's notes
The atmosphere in Joséfa Díaz Square in front of the Nueva Numancia Market. Opened in 1985, the market was an important commercial center for the neighborhood until supermarkets proliferated and traditional shops declined, threatening its operation. Recently, however, many bars have opened inside, and the area has become a popular hangout spot for antifascist and punk youths from Vallekas. It is also one of the places where Rayo Vallecano fans gather before matches.
