Recordist's notes

It's a beautiful old brick-built Victorian pumping station on the Kennet and Avon canal just outside Reading. It's roof went into disrepair a few years ago but a new one was put in place with stories of turning it into a canal-side cafe. The door was locked and double bolted, but that didn't last long..Now you can gain access, and this is one of the lovely soundscapes that greets your ears. Sony M10
