Recordist's notes

The island in the middle of the Danube is linked by bridges both upstream and downstream, meaning that it is only surrounded by transportation systems in its immediate vicinity. Downstream on the Danube, it is connected to the Margit hid, in the middle of which two tram lines run. When a streetcar crosses the bridge, it causes it to emit a deep droning resonance. The diffuse sound of traffic from all directions completely surrounds the bridge and creates a certain constant loudness. This can be recognized by the fact that walkers or joggers can only be heard very close.
