Recordist's notes

Visiting the Thursday Market in Mae Sariang, me and my 2 sons (10 and 14), with vendors from the mountain minorities who speak their own languages. Around half into the recording my son is asking me to fake taking a selfie in order to get a photo of this ›cruel‹ woman who was selling turtles, supposedly for eating. My son hated this and became a vegetarian after having seen those poor animals. At around 2/3 into the recording 4 or 5 policemen asked us to have a selfie taken together with them; they were very friendly and kind.
