Recordist's notes
The Romeiros (Pilgrims) is a traditional spiritual ritual during lent in the island of São Miguel, Azores. This group arrived at the church Matriz around 1 pm when I was drinking my coffee in a café nearby. I've immediately grabbed my pocket size Tascam DR-05 and started recording them while they were singing at the church door. Then I followed them inside the where they prayed for a few minutes before departing for a long walk to some other part of the island.
