Recordist's notes
On Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., you can visit the Fontarrón market. It has 79 stalls selling a wide variety of products, including food, fruit, and vegetables, as well as gifts, jewelry, accessories, footwear, home textiles, and fashion items. This small area of Vallecas was developed in the 1970s, with 1,320 homes, most of which were built in the following decade. These are family homes intended for the lower middle class. The homes are mainly grouped in 13- or 14-story towers with an H-shaped floor plan. Many people come to this market from different areas of Vallecas, as well as people from Moratalaz, another neighborhood located on the other side of the nearby Valencia highway.
