Recordist's notes
A mole excavating soil just beneath the surface of the forest garden, recorded using two contact microphones gently pushed into the soil where the mole suddenly emerged. Recorded with difficulty due to the dynamic range of the mole’s dynamic underground activity. This recording is part of the ongoing project In the Forest Garden exploring sounds of the (in)visible; human interaction with the more-than-human. https://sophiestandford.com/ https://sophiestandford.bandcamp.com/
