Recordist's notes
One of the ‘100 Soundscapes of Japan’ is the small street that leads to Kawasaki Daishi, a famous temple that travellers along the Tōkaidō would often take the time to visit. I happened to visit during a quieter day it seems, but the sweets being hand-made on either side of me still provided a unique listening experience as I approached the large temple. ‘Rat-tat-ratatat-rat-tat-ratatat...’
