Recordist's notes
The wind lashes the surface of Bear Lake, whose ice finally went out at some point in the last 12 hours. A noisy end to a mild winter. Water droplets from the churning are heard hitting the custom-built windscreen cage (wire and plastic mesh, foam panels added). Mic itself has three layers of foam/fabric windscreen. Stereo mic (Audio-Technica, AT-822), recorded via Sony MD (MZ-NF810, pre-amp) and Tascam DR-60DmkII.
