Recordist's notes
Recording of the ophaalmachine (collection machine) at Nederlands Mijnmuseum. Originally this used to be a steam engine but is now electrified. During the operation of the Oranje Nassau 1 coal mine between 1899-1974, this machine was in charge of taking miners 470 meters below ground and transporting coal to the surface. Thank you to the museum for their hospitality and coorperation. Shoutout to the nice volunteer who ran the machine for me several times with lots of enthousiasm :) Gear: Zoom H4n pro, stereo recording, light limiting, no additional edits.
