Recordist's notes
At 13:00, the church rang its bell as a protest against the asylum laws proposed by former Minister Faber. The vote on these laws took place in the First Chamber at that time. The proposed legislation sought to make it a criminal offense to be undocumented and to offer them help. The Pauluskerk and other churches in the Netherlands jointly rang their bells as a way to call for citizens' attention.
