Recordist's notes
Excerpt from overnight recording. Microphones attached to a tree facing a wildlife pond in a remote forested area. The pond is surrounded by pine trees and the constant sound of wind in the trees. The night was also cold and relatively quiet and the recording setup was not ideal for a quiet soundscape. Never-the-less, this excerpt captures the pre-dawn soundscape at about 5 am, with pileated woodpecker calls and woodpecker drumming, crows and other birds not yet identified.
Context
